That chic there?  That’s Summer Sanders.  She has nothing to do with anything, except that she’s the only girl whose name is “Summer” that I could think of.

That schedule below?  That’s the Gorillas Summer schedule.  That has everything to do with everything.  We start this Tuesday against the team we beat in the Spring League Champeenship.  I don’t remember real well, but I think we might dislike them.  I mean, the odds are pretty good that we dislike them, right?

Well, here we go again. Spring league starts this Tuesday, and of course it's going to be 30 fucking degrees. I think I just pulled a hamstring thinking about that.

Okay, we didn't exactly come thru this past off-season with the Year In The Gorillas review, the player profiles, or even a Merry Fucking Christmas. Hey, some of us were busy doing other things, and some were just to drunk busy to be bothered.

But all that's gonna change. This time we're totally gonna post at least weekly! Seriously, we mean it this time. Honest!

So check back occasionally, be prepared to have your ass entertained right the fuck off, and feel free to chime in in the comments. Hell, if you really want to support the team, show up at a game or two. Just make sure to bring bier.

And dress warmly.

Fall Ball Time -or- Let's Play Two!

You may have figured it out by the glaring absence of a follow-up post after the one below, but the Gorillas were unceremoniously bounced from the city tourney after shooting our collective wad in the three hour marathon game o' the century.

It was sad, but inevitable. We had to save our best for the thing we're known most for: winning league titles.

Speaking of, the Fall league begins tonight. Here's the schedule:

We just realized that we never posted the summer league schedule. We blame Ryan Dempster & Neal Cotts.

All games are on Tuesday nights at Iglehart field.

May 15th - 6pm vs. Eville Deamons (L 23-13)
May 22nd - 6pm vs. Dyna Kleen
May 29th - 7pm vs. Red Rockets
June 5th - 8pm vs. el Diablo
June 12th - 6pm vs. The Snakes
June 19th - 6pm vs. Eville Deamons
June 26th - 6pm vs Dyna Kleen
July 3rd - 7pm vs. Red Rockets
July 10th - 8pm vs. El Diablo
July 17th - 7pm vs. The Snakes
July 24th - Rain Date
July 31st - Championship night 8pm game.

2007 Spring League Schedule/Record

So, yah, we kinda lost interest in this here bloggy thingy last fall. We are easily distracted by shiny objects. And porn.

But hey, looky there, it's spring already. And that means the ole Gorillas are back in action. We'll be vying for our, like, 5th straight league title this spring. There is a minor problem tho. Someone, (whom we shall not name, but whose initials are Tommy Wannemu...) slightly screwed up and we will be playing on WEDNESDAY'S instead of Tuesdays. Rest assured, fans, we'll be back on Tuesday nights come summer time.

All games are at Kleymeyer #3 on Wednesday nights:

• April 4th - 8 & 9 p.m. vs. The Snakes (2 wins. It was cold.)
• April 11th - 8 & 9 p.m. vs. PC Quest (RAIN OUT)

• May 16th - 7 p.m. vs. Purple Ducks & Championship Game vs. PC Quest @ 9 p.m.
